The Violin: Its History and Making
The Violin: Its History and Making is the life's work of Master Violinmaker Karl Roy, retired director of the Mittenwald School of Violinmaking in Germany and founder of the Violinmaking Program at the Violin Craftsmanship Institute in New Hampshire. Local violinmaker Claire Curtis assisted him, and with Alvin Tom King edited the book. No other book compares with this one; it is destined to be the new classic work in the field.
